About Me

My name is Sarah. I came up with the idea for Just Add Kids while on maternity leave with my third child.

I have always enjoyed doing craft activities with my own children, and have organised various craft parties for my daughter Isabel over the years.

My ambition is to become a primary school teacher, but in the meantime, I am really enjoying turning an interest in arts and crafts, into a business!

We have our own gazebo as well as tables etc, everything needed to make our pop up workshops totally self sufficient. Add some fun to your event, with none of the effort!

Pop Up Slime Workshop

A mobile slime making workshop, ready to pitch up at any event.

We have attended summer fairs, festivals, school parties, Christmas fairs, as well as having regular events in cafes.

During half term, we spent six days running slime workshops at Pleasurewood Hills and donated a percentage of our takings for the week to the NSPCC.

We are always happy to consider any event.

Craft Birthday Parties

Let me know the theme, or a favourite interest, and I will come up with tailored activity ideas for your child’s birthday party. I will supply all materials and run the activities, so you have time to enjoy the party!

Prices are dependent on what activities you choose, as well as location. As a rough guide, three activities usually cost roughly £10 per child. I can can find activities to suit most budgets, so if you’d like to spend less, I can work with you to find suitable activities.

SLIME Parties

Is your child CRAZY about SLIME?

How about treating them to a SLIME WORKSHOP PARTY!

We have various different recipes to choose from, so they could make one, two or three (or even more if you like!) different types of slime.

Prices start at £50 for one go each for up to 10 children*. More children/goes are discounted after that.

Three goes each are roughly £10 per child*.

Face Painting

I am fairly new to face painting, so prices will reflect this!

I use hypoallergenic face paints and follow a strict hygiene regime. Any glitter used, will be non toxic, cosmetic grade. I always use a fresh sponge with each face and wash brushes in an alcohol solution between each use.

Arts and Craft Activities

I’ve always loved doing arts and crafts with my kids, from bubble painting, to papier-mâché and sewing, we’ve tried it all!

Now I spend my time coming up with art and craft activities which are interesting enough to engage children’s interest, but also easy enough to replicate for various ages and abilities.

Slime Making

I first did slime making with my daughter and my niece, when it had become a popular craze among children. My sister suggested I could use the same recipes for a mobile slime workshop at fairs and festivals. The idea has proved extremely popular and I now also do regular workshops in cafes, as well as birthday parties.

Materials

I source the majority of my materials from primary school supply websites, so ensure they are safe for young children to use. I also buy cosmetic or food grade items, so they can safely be in contact with skin.

I provide everything needed for the activities, including aprons, table cloths and can even provide silicon gloves, if needed!
